What’s the same
The record model is program-agnostic
Programs, cohorts, courses, sessions, grades, documents. Rename them and the screens don’t change.
Allied health
CNA, phlebotomy, medical assisting, dental assisting. Cohorts with theory and lab sessions, a gradebook with weighted categories, certificates of completion numbered and kept.
Trades
HVAC, welding, CDL. Short intensive cohorts, attendance per session, transcripts that list the courses and the hours each one is worth.
Massage
A program with a fixed hour total and practical components. Status through prospective, active, on leave, withdrawn and graduated, with leave as a real state, not a margin note.
English language
Rolling intakes and level changes. Students move between cohorts and keep one record. Enrollment verification letters on demand, which language students ask for often.

What’s different, honestly
Where the beauty-school build shows
The demo is a beauty school. Programs called Cosmetology and Barbering, a term running July to December. To see your own programs instead, send a CSV and the private link comes back with your names on everything. That costs nothing.
Clock hours are counted the beauty-school way. Each session carries its minutes, the attendance codes credit them, and the student’s record shows the total against the program’s hour requirement. That is how the Board’s schools count. If your regulator wants hours logged another way, try it in the demo before deciding.
No clinical or externship hour logs. Allied health programs with clinical rotations track those hours somewhere else. Udooku holds the placement record and the completion, not the site log.
No Title IV. There’s no financial aid module. Tuition and payment plans run through your own Stripe account; federal aid doesn’t run through Udooku at all.
No SEVIS. Language schools with F-1 students keep their SEVIS reporting in SEVIS. Udooku holds the enrollment and attendance that reporting is based on.
