Udooku is a student information system for California’s private postsecondary schools, and it is one person: Arthur Silva, in Los Angeles. I build it, I run the demos, I do the migrations, and I answer support. This page says where the company is, where your records are, and what happens to them, so you don’t have to ask on a call.

I’m Arthur Silva. I live and work in Los Angeles. Udooku LLC is a California company, formed in July 2019, and its mailing address is 453 S Spring St Ste 400, Los Angeles, CA 90013. There is no sales team and no support desk in another country. When you email [email protected], it is me who reads it and me who replies, usually the same working day. If you call (213) 410-1616, the line takes a message; leave the school’s name and a number and I call you back, from Los Angeles, in Pacific time.
I built Udooku for the schools the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education approves, starting with barbering and cosmetology schools and extending to language, allied health and trade schools. I work directly with every school that signs up: the onboarding, the CSV migration, the questions in the first month. If you’d rather do all of that in writing, that works too; a good share of schools never need a call.
Design, some engineering and this website get help from four freelancers I have worked with for years, two in the United States and two in Brazil. None of them has access to the console or to any school’s records; the only people who do are you and your staff. The person you deal with, on every email and every call, is me.

The honest part
Two things to know before you rely on one person
If I stop working on it. You should never be relying on my goodwill to reach your own records. You can export them at any time in standard formats: the roster exports to CSV on any plan, and the owner can request a full archive of the whole record set on any plan. That export is never gated behind a payment, and it covers archived and graduated students, not just active ones. If Udooku stopped tomorrow you would still be holding your data in a form another system can read.
What Udooku does not do. There’s no Title IV module; federal aid doesn’t run through Udooku at all. It doesn’t talk to SEVIS, so a language school keeps its DSO workflow where it is. It isn’t an LMS.
